Current Role:
I work independently as a Developmental Educator and Advanced/Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner and support business development and practice improvement within a not-for-profit organisation.
DE Work Experience:
I have over 15 years’ experience working with children, young people, and families across education, disability, behaviour support, early intervention, child protection, and family support settings. I hold multiple postgraduate qualifications and bring expertise in policy development, practice improvement, and grant and tender writing within the not-for-profit sector. My approach is grounded in inclusive, person-centred practice and informed by my lived experience of disability. I have a strong focus on neurodiversity and early childhood development.
Why you joined the board:
I volunteered to join the DEA Board to advocate for greater recognition of the Developmental Educator profession and the role it could play in addressing gaps within the disability sector. I am committed to ensuring that people with disability have genuine choice and control over their lives, including how, when, and by whom they are supported.
