Eligibility to Become a Supervisor

To apply, supervisors must:

• Be an active Practicing Member of DEA
• Have at least 5 years of experience in their area of specialty.
• Provide proof of supervision training or certification.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

How to Apply

1. Complete the Application Form: Submit your resume, proof of supervision training, and professional development records. You do this via your member login – selecting Join now as a Supervisor
2. Accreditation Review: The DEA Accreditation Committee will review your application.
3. Stay Updated: Once accredited, supervisors must provide evidence of ongoing professional development annually.

 

Fees

• Application Fee: $300 (non-refundable), includes a 1-year listing on the DEA website.
• Renewal Fee: $200 per year to maintain your listing and visibility.

 

Transitional Period

Supervisors currently listed will have 6 months to meet the new accreditation standards.
