General Director

Jade Lee

Your current role:

I work for myself as a Developmental Educator (DE), a Research Assistant and Tutor at the University of Wollongong (UoW) and a subcontractor DE for Neurokindred Pty Ltd.

Your DE work experience:

I was in the education space for 17 years where I worked with neurodivergent students before finally leaving in 2022 to study a Master of Autism. While studying I also worked as a support worker, Allied Health Assistant (AHA) and Art Therapist before going out on my own to work as a Neurodiverent Educator and Creative Therapist. My work with UoW has also seen me take on the role of University Liaison for future DEs who are going out on their professional experience. Along with working in my current roles, I also volunteer as a peer support facilitator for Neurokindred Pty Ltd.

Why you joined the Board:

I am passionate about promoting the profession of DEs, particularly in regional, rural and remote areas. I have a particular interest in telehealth and how it can be used to support people in areas outside of metropolitan areas. I also want to be part of advocating for our role within the NDIA/NDIS space.
