Treasurer

Nick Kakoliris

Your current role:
Chief Executive Officer at Allora Options

Your DE work experience:
I have six years of experience developing Behaviour Support Plans and twelve years working within a positive behaviour support (PBS) framework. I leverage my dual qualifications in developmental education and rehabilitation counselling completed at Flinders University, along with a graduate certificate in forensic mental health completed at Griffith University, to specialise in working with individuals who exhibit high-risk and dangerous behaviours of concern. My areas of interest in practice include completing forensic-based risk assessments and developing management plans to treat risk factors, with the goal of improving the quality of life and reducing the likelihood of recidivism for offenders.

Why you joined the Board:
I joined the Board to assist with the growth and overall exposure of Developmental Educators (DEs) as a profession. My goal is to contribute to the strategic direction and planning, assist with governance and policy development, and assist with the development of fundamental plans to grow the profession from the grassroots.
