Joining a DEAI subcommittee offers you the opportunity to:
- Strengthen your professional skills and connections.
- Play a key role in projects like Developmental Educators Week (DE Week), the Annual General Meeting (AGM), expos, and marketing campaigns.
- Make a tangible impact on the growth and recognition of Developmental Educators.
Subcommittees Open for Nominations
- PD and Event Subcommittee – This team works on hosting online professional development (PD) events, coordinating DE Week activities, and supporting the AGM and expos. Members dedicate approximately 4 hours per month to ensure events are impactful and engaging.
- Marketing Subcommittee – Be part of an innovative group focused on crafting marketing strategies, developing resources, and creating engaging content to promote Developmental Educators. With a commitment of around 4 hours per month, you’ll also gather and incorporate feedback to improve outreach initiatives.
- State/Territory Champion – Join a pivotal role as a regional leader, connecting Developmental Educators and key stakeholders in your area. With a commitment of approximately 4 hours per month, you’ll help strengthen professional networks, raise awareness about the role of DEs, and support local events and initiatives. Collaborating closely with the DEAI Board and subcommittees, you’ll play a vital part in rolling out impactful campaigns and fostering community engagement.
- Ethics Committee – Uphold the integrity of our profession by reviewing and investigating complaints to ensure compliance with the DEAI Code of Ethics. The committee also provides recommendations to the DEAI Board, contributing to a strong ethical framework.
How to Get Involved
Nominations are open now and close on 11 January 2025. Each subcommittee requires a time commitment of approximately 4 hours per month and offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the DEAI’s vision.
